Exactly 20 years after we saw the original CTR, German tuning house RUF has announced the introduction of its third generation CTR3 coinciding with the launch of its new plant in Bahrain. Porsche has released photos and information on the facelifted 2008 Cayenne. That’s prior to its official debut in the Detroit Motor Show in January.
Porsche threw out the base 250 Hp 3.2 V6 motor and substituted it with VW Group’s new 290 Hp 3.6 V6 –same one as in the 2008 VW Touareg. Next up, the Cayenne S is now equipped with an upgraded version of the previous 340 Hp 4.5 V8, which has grown to 4,8 litres and produces 380 Hp and 500 Nm of torque (from 340 Hp & 420 Nm).

Road and Track magazine published a speculative piece in their April 2006 issue in regards to the possibility of a new, 928-esque coupe that may debut on a shortened version of the Panamera's platform sometime around the 2011 or 2012 model years.
The 928, Porsche’s front-engine entry in the coupe GT market, never quite enjoyed the success of the signature sports car, the 911.
