Designed as a trackday tool, not a backroads toy, the Zonda R only shares 10 percent of its construction with the Zonda F. According to Sportbilen.se, this is the car Pagani plans to show off in Geneva. It's called the Zonda R. It's a non-street-legal club racer powered by some manner of 750-hp Mercedes V12. It's Pagani's track-day version of the Ferrari Enzo Fxx and Maserati MC12. Compared to its street legal, $700,000 Zonda sibling, the R model is longer, lighter and lower, and has a longer wheelbase.

Barabus Sports Cars ltd. have been working on a car with over 1000 horsepower for over 10 years. It is said to reach 270 mph, and go from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds. It will be powered by a Twin-Turbo 6.0L V8, and is rumored to cost less than $500,000.

The Pagani Zonda S always was the best supercar money couldn't buy.
In Europe and most of the rest of the world, Horacio Pagani's hypercar appeared out of more or less nowhere at the turn of the millennium and from a standing start made the best efforts of Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche look stark. Think Enzo or Carrera GT. That's where the new Zonda F has pegged its performance. It just happens to be a lot more luxurious and better to drive--for the everyday dawdle and when it's deploying the full 594-horsepower mind warp.
