The new Nissan will be available on the Japanese automarket in a limited edition of 300 unints. The price will be around $44,000, not too much if we think that the 2007 Nismo 350 Z is sold at a price of $38,695 .
The new Type 380 RS has a 3.8 litre engine ( the engine displacement is increased from 3.5 to 3.8 liters, as indicated by the name - 380 RS) delivering 350 bhp and torque to 293 pound-feet. Not a very big difference if we think that the DOHC 3.5-liter V6 from the Z delivers 306 bhp.

How cheap is cheap? Renault-Nissan Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn is betting that for autos, the magic number is under $3,000. At a plant-opening ceremony in India Apr. 4, he was already talking up the industry's next challenge: a future model that would sport a sticker price as low as $2,500—about 40% less than the least expensive subcompact currently on the market. Renault-Nissan is the first global automaker to take up the gauntlet thrown down in 2003 by India's Tata Motors, which plans to launch a $2,500 car next year. Both are leading a...

Nissan has released a design sketch of the 2008 Infiniti G35 Coupe. The G35 is a sleek, distinctive looking sport coupe. Stacked dual headlamps and turn signals reside under clear plastic bubbles nicely integrated into the nose. The roofline flows in a smooth arc from front to rear with nary a break.

Built by Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE - located in Cranfield, Bedfordshire) as a 'club special' that could be used on the street or for weekend track work, the GT-S features a Novidem centrifugal supercharger system that heaves output from the standard 300bhp to 382bhp and peak torque up from 260lb-ft to 314lb-ft. Nissan UK claims the extra power should knock about a second from the stock car's 0-60mph time and 2.5 seconds off the 0-100mph reading.
Along with the additional thrust, the NTCE team used a Strosek body kit to smooth...

This is the GT-S Concept - much more than just teenage angst war paint. It's the ultimate incarnation of the 'Z, packing a supercharged V6 engine developing a monstrous 380bhp (up 82bhp) channelled through the lightweight, uprated forged alloy rear wheels. Beneath the pumped up bodywork new Bilstein suspension is joined by a bellowing aftermarket exhaust that can be heard three counties away.
The GT-S is as British as weather warnings. The mean streets of Tokyo have been shunned in favour of, er, Cranfield and Nissan's European technical...
