The Concept-CT exists mainly to showcase Mitsubishi's current foray into alternative fuels, although it doesn't take the company very far into that field.
The CT has an electric motor in each wheel, powered by electricity generated by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine. The motors are used as part of the computer-controlled all-wheel drive — a system Mitsubishi calls MIEV (Mitsubishi In-wheel-motor Electric Vehicle).

The new Eclipse Spyder is a convertible version of the Eclipse sporty coupe the company showed at the Detroit Motor Show in January of this year. Eclipse Spyder features a soft top which opens and closes at the touch of a switch, with a new powered tonneau panel. When Mitsubishi revealed its 2008 Lancer sedan on Monday, we were left wondering why the unveiling wasn't saved for the upcoming Detroit auto show. As it turns out, the Japanese automaker will use the Detroit show to unveil something more exciting — a concept version of the 2008 Lancer Evolution.
The company has released two sketches as a preview of the new performance sedan, which will be unveiled official in early January. We can't tell you anything about specs yet, but all those details should become available in the coming weeks.

Apparently a visit to Mitsubishi's European R&D studio will score you a view of this rally-prepped Concept-X model. Despite the "No Photos" signs lying next to the scaled-down concept, someone felt the itch to shoot and did just that. It's widely known that the Concept-X previews the styling of the forthcoming Evo X, and this Rally Edition model previews what the Evo X may look like when it's rocking the WRC.
