The first model was named LM 002: an off-road vehicle, which resulted from the cooperation between a Lamborghini and USA army – and it was produced in a limited edition, with only 328 units. This car was powered by a great Lamborghini Countach's engine, of 5167 cc and which could develop 450 hp, for a top speed of 210 km/h, with a 0-100 in 7"8.
Now Info Motori have issued a few renderings of what they think a future Lamborghini truck should look like. They suggests that, like the LM002 which used the Countach's V12, their concept –...

The flagship Lamborghini Murciélago -- the 640-hp LP640 -- is now sans top. The company is introducing its LP640 Roadster at the LA show this week. Like its coupe sibling, the roadster is powered by Lamborghini's 6.5-liter "longitudinale posteriore" V12, which produces 486 lb-ft or torque and revs to 8,000 rpm. Zero to sixty in 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of over 200 mph.
You need a degree in origami to get the fabric roof on and off: it's like juggling with a slippery accordion. Yank it off to reveal the revised cabin, with revised...

The 640bhp Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 will be at MPH'06 on the Met Police stand -- we hear that the 6.5-ltre V12-powered machine had to be hurried covered during the photo-shoot as it was in danger of causing traffic accidents.
However, the Met Police was at pains to say that the 211mph, £180,000 supercar hasn't been paid for with public money. But in the eight miles that the Met Police was allowed to drive it, it was stopped twice by other Met units, having committed no traffic violations.

The appearance of the Lamborghini Gallardo at the 2003 Geneva show threatened the raison d'être of the Murcielago, which had been launched two years prior. The smaller, lighter car was virtually as quick as its big brother, if not quite as extroverted. The obvious next move was to make the Murcielago even faster and wilder, and thus was born the Murcielago LP640. As though the top Lambo wasn't already fast enough, Lamborghini enlarged the V12 from 6.2 to 6.5 liters for a bump in power from 580 to 640 hp. In case you're worried about the Cribs...

The Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 will cost £190,000 in the UK, although you'll have to pay for the car to be delivered.
Still, for a 640bhp supercar that will send small and large animals scurrying for cover, this looks like good value to me.
Right, where's that chequebook?

With a more powerful V12, the latest Murciélago is more of a thrill than ever.
The courtyard lies at the top of a gentle slope. As we approach, the evening sun sweeps across the Tuscan hillside and lights up its archway.
Inside sits a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 looking menacing in military green. It is a new color, a sort of mossy, watery metallic. Up front, just inches from the stones, juts a more prominent splitter than before; at the rear there is an enormous funnel—in fact it’s a Veyron-style exhaust protruding below the new...
