Koenigsegg has created a new race car - the CCGT, based on the production CC-model range. The CCGT complies with the ACO and FIA GT1 regulations.

Part of the Koenigsegg ($1M) experience is an optional course on high performance driving, something that the current owner neglected to take part in. Subsequently, he ended up crashing the car within 18 hours of taking delivery. The driver was actually a nephew of one of the owners of an H&M retail store, and crashed into a garbage truck while trying to overtake another vehicle. Fortunately, all parties involved were uninjured.

Even though there’s nothing official about the Knight Rider movie even being made (no director, cast, car voice announced) a teaser poster for the movie has been uncovered. Movie studios sometimes create posters way in advance in order to get big wig investors on board and help fanboys salivate. Plus, this press may take the heat off of David Hasselhoff’s daughter wanting to kill herself and the fact that he beats his wife. Either way, feast your eyes on the 2008 version of Kitt.

CCX stands for Competition Coupe X. The CCX is the latest iteration of the Koenigsegg CC family. The CCX is in many aspects a new car since it has been re-engineered to comply with the US regulation and market demands.

Koenigsegg had its official US debut for the CCX model at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas on the 30th of August with a following 2 day track test at the Las Vegas Speedway.
Potential Customers and Journalists alike got to go around the track with renowned raced driver Justin Bell and then later on the got to experience the fury behind the wheel themselves.
The CCX performed beautifully on the race track in the desert sun with ambient temperatures ranging up to 105 degrees F(40 degress C).
