The deal is done, Ford Motor Company has sold Aston Martin to a consortium led by Prodrive founder David Richards, Aston Martin collector John Sinders, and Kuwait's Investment Dar and Adeem Investment Co.

In spite of reports yesterday that Ford had decided not to sell Jaguar, the fate of the loss-making carmaker still hangs in the balance after executives said a decision on whether to sell was still weeks away.
