Ferrari unveiled the new version of the FXX during this past weekend's Ferrari World Finals at its Mugello race track in Italy. The FXX is not homologated for road use and there are no plans to compete with it either. Despite constant denials about the existence of a new small Ferrari from officials, images of a prototype being tested on a dyno have emerged. Rumored to be the successor to the original Dino, early reports suggest it will be launched by 2010, and to solve the problem of limited capacity at the Maranello plant, Ferrari will likely outsource production of the car to Maserati.

US comedian and actor Eddie Griffin was was practising for a charity race to promote his new film Redline when he drove too fast around a curve at the Irwindale speedway in California and smashed into a concrete barrier.
The Enzo was owned by the film's executive producer, Daniel Sadek, whose exotic car collection was featured in the movie.
Sadek said the car was beyond repair and that he had "mixed feelings" about the wreck.

Ferrari’s financial results for 2006 were released this week, with profits up a significant 16.6% over its 2005 result. Each of Ferrari’s three main business divisions - road cars, competition cars and brand development - achieved positive results, bringing in €1,447 million in revenues. Organisers of the Ferrari festival that will take place in Melbourne next month have been warned that their Formula One demonstration must not exceed 60 km/h.
Following the local controversy that was caused at the last public street demonstration for race cars in the city, where Antonio Pizzonia was estimated to have driven at more than 200 km/h, the local law enforcement community have made it clear they will not tolerate such speeds again.

Reports are that the driver was speeding and lost control. Around fifteen Enzos have been crashed ( http://auto.commongate..../tag/crash ), including five of which were totalled. Six to eight more have been or are being repaired, and this one is repairable as well.
