Ron Dennis had a meeting with some of the British F1 media last week and discussed a little about whether or not the team will be sold to Mercedes-Benz. For some time there have been rumours that a deal was done last summer and our sources are absolutely certain that a sale is taking place and that it will be announced when various accounting deadlines have been passed so that the purchase will not raise any eyebrows in the investing world.

Hyundai are planning to enter Formula One in 2010, for the inaugural South Korean Grand Prix.

The Korean car manufacturer are believed to have been talking with Formula One ringmaster Bernie Ecclestone over a potential grid spot since he agreed a deal to stage a race in the south of the Asian country last month.

German magazine Automobilwoche quoted a high-ranking manager of the Korean car-maker as saying: "Talks with Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone are in progress."

F1 racer ripping a Ferrari 275 GTB on the streets of Paris

On an August morning in 1976, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris.

No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit.

On first showing, Lelouch was supposedly arrested. In his defence, he proclaimed he had taken all possible precautions. This included convincing a Formula One driver to helm the car (he refused to name him).

Indoor Speed Record With Toyota's F1 Car

With the help of BBC TopGear the Toyota Formula One team have set a new indoor speed record. Using the London Excel building, home to the 2006 London motorshow, they drove one of last years Toyota's down the length of the Excel setting a new indoor speed record.

The car was driven by 'The Stig', an unnamed racing driver, who first tested the surface in their Chevrolet Lacetti setting a top speed of 70 mph. Then the Toyota Formula One took centre stage, burning up its rear wheels as it left the line.
