The person who entered the winning bid of $9,900,500 for John Schneider's personal 1969 Dodge "General Lee" Charger on eBay Motors last week has withdrawn it. Big surprise....
I'm surprised that, passed a certain level, they didn't require a deposit or bank letter of credit. I'm wondering If the bidder's eBay account was hijacked, and a scammer bid just to mess up a high profile auction?

This Lexus concept car was designed for the movie Minority Report. The inspiration behind the car was a vehicle that would fit the requirements of the year 2054, but beneath the futuristic design is a standard Chevy V6 and conventional manual gearbox.

Although the identity of the car's owner is being withheld by the company selling it on his behalf, Flogit4u.com, it revealed that he is a UK resident.
Clearly, he was one careful owner, as the car only has 500 miles on the clock and a full service history. And then there's the question of insurance. The V12 engine takes the car from nought to 60mph in 3.3 seconds. It has a top speed of 218 mph.

Tesla Motors has already booked deposits for its first 100 cars, according to Martin Eberhard, Tesla's CEO. The $100,000 deposits guarantee that the buyers will get the cars, which will come out next year.
"All 100 are gone," he said.
