Mercedes-Benz’s new S600 Guard could be the safest luxury sedan currently in production. It’s powered by a bi-turbo V12 engine that produces an impressive 517hp.
Mercedes shows us some of the unique functionality of the S600 Guard such as bullet-proof protection (yes, they fire bullets at the car), and air filtration systems to prevent smoke entering the cabin. Some of the attacks the vehicle is capable of withstanding include armour resisting military-standard small-arms projectiles, hand grenade fragments other explosive charges. Additional safety features include run-flat tyres, a self-sealing fuel tank and a fire-extinguishing system.
