GTA Motor to build first Spanish supercar
Fans of video gaming might associate the letters GTA with a long-running series of mayhem and madness - and more than a little automotive hoonage. But in this case it’s the name of a Spanish motorsports team that runs a pair of cars in the Formula 3 championship. Racing is a great way to build a reputation, but to reach a global audience, a street car is the only way to go. That’s why GTA Motor is trying its hand at building a one - a 700hp, €600,000 race car for the street, to be precise.
GTA hopes to build 99 units per year and has already taken eight orders at €600,000 apiece. A firm delivery date has not yet been set, but track testing will begin in August.
