Chevrolet Trax Concept

The Chevrolet Trax concept isn't a replacement for the Chevy Tracker - it's quite a bit smaller than that. It is one of three Korean-designed global minicar concepts that will be making their debuts at the 2007 New York Auto Show.

Chevy seems to be experiencing a bout of indecisiveness, and can't decide which one it likes best. So you'll get to vote yourself at a website Chevrolet will be setting up after the cars make their official debut on April 4th.

The Trax, like the other two concepts, is built on GM's global minicar platform and is designed to appeal to young buyers in urban markets. But it's powered by a 1.0-liter gasoline engine, which apparently means it's designed to appeal to very patient young buyers in very slow-paced urban markets.

We've never heard of either. But we do think the four-door Trax is cute. What appears in the illustrations to be Honda Element-like body cladding on the lower corner panels is a different color (Burnt Orange, instead of the Blaze Orange paint that is used elsewhere).

Hmm, "burnt" and "blaze"? Those two names make us think of a certain illegal herb that often results in, um, indecisiveness.
