2006 Mosler MT900 GTR
The German importer of the Mosler MT900 has developed a special GTR version with a 7.0-liter LS7 engine producing 600 bhp. The MT900 GTR is a road-going version of the MT900 R built in England that captured championships in the British and Spanish GT Championships (2003 and 2004) and the FIA GT2 class (2005). The MT900 R has also competed in the 24 Hours of Daytona. Mosler Deutschland has joined with Mosler Automotive in England to produce the GTR, with the goal of producing the fastest production car for the track using high quality lightweight components and a reliable V8 engine. Other manufacturers have helped to develop the car including BBS, Dunlop, Recaro, Alpine, and others. The LS7 V8 engine, normally found in the Corvette Z06, has been upgraded to 600 bhp. Special attention has been made to government regulations, making sure that the car complies with laws in both Europe and the United States. The car has successfully completed crash tests for the front and side as well as roll tests.
